Rocking Chair Lodge is an enormous home within The Porches luxury community and gateway to the Steamboat ski area. This 10,400 square foot home was built with multi-generational families or corporate retreats in mind. This custom built luxury abode incorporates top of the line touches from the wood and stone floors to the floor to ceiling bathroom tile and custom iron work.
The large great room makes use of exposed wood beams to create an expansive space inviting groups to relax on over stuffed sofas and enjoy the fire. Guests can access rocking chairs on the covered deck and enjoy coffee or refreshers while taking in the mountain views.
Chefs from every walk of life will revel in Rocking Chair Lodge's gourmet kitchen equipped with SubZero double refrigerators, freezer drawers, ice makers, wine and beverage refirgerators, AGA gas stove (6 ovens, 4 burners, 2 hot plates and warming plate). double Asko dishwashers, Miele coffee maker, Vent-a-Hood hood, convection oven/microwave, copper farm sinks and double islands featuring banded iron stone. Guests can gather at the 12 seat granite dining table with space for an additional 4 at the bar.
The lower level of Rocking Chair Lodge is specifically built for entertaining. A media room hosts a movie screen and is outfited with reclinign theater seats. A full wet bar with beverage refrigerator/freezer, pool table, and fireplace are all present. Next door, you'll find ping-pong and foosball with a 14 foot climbing wall in the play room.
Rocking Chair Lodge is home to the largest deck in The Porches and incorporates an outdoor fireplace. Both blend seemlessly with the magnificent view o the ski mountain. The Porches amenities come standard with booking and include: full-service concierge, 6000 sq. ft. "Barn" with heated outdoor pool and hot tubs, outdoor BBQ deck & fire pit, fitness center, kid's play room, business center, and great room. Access to the slopes couldn't be easier with the on-call shuttle service. Ski valet is located at the base of the mountain so you do not need to lug your equipment with you.
