Farniente is a contemporary villa at the edge of the sea located in the private community of Shore Pointe right on the French/Dutch Border. This luxurious gated enclave is like a stylish gleaming white village on a sunny Greek island. The entrance to Farniente is framed by lush tropical plantings and classic white columns. The front door opens to the dramatic descending marble staircase that transports you to the main living area and a stunning view of the blue sky, Caribbean Sea and outer islands.

The contemporary interiors flow through stunning glass and wood sliding doors right onto a spacious covered travertine terrace and deck. The wraparound space is perfect for outdoor dining and lounging. Graceful arches and columns draw your eye to the deep blue pool that seems to flow straight to the sea. You share a private entrance to Cupecoy Beach. An awning lowers to provide shade from the late afternoon sun.  

The interior décor has a contemporary French vibe; elegant, interesting and comfortable. Dark woods blend with cream, taupe, grey and lime fabrics and leather. The open plan living area features a high-end kitchen with luxury stainless steel appliances. The large main living area combines lounging, dining and media spaces with a spacious office nook. A powder room is conveniently located on the first floor.

The four equal size bedrooms have king size beds, sea views, private outdoor seating areas and beautiful en suite bathrooms. One bedroom is on the main level while the 3 others are up a curved staircase. Each room has a distinctive color theme mixing lime, grey, teal, brown, mango and cream. Interesting objects d’art is scattered through the villa. The spa style bathrooms have walk in showers; one has a soaking tub. The décor combines woods, glass, travertine tiles and river stones with sleek brushed chrome fixtures. 

Although private, you are very close to amenities. Only a 3-minute walk to Porto Cupecoy with a terrific little gourmet market, wonderful restaurants and stunning views. Two more minutes to Escape, the hot new restaurant bar; the laidback Bar Code; the eclectic restaurants of STARZ casino highlighted by Temptation and just beyond; the nightlights of Maho. In 5 minutes you reach the airport, 10 minutes to the charming French capital of Marigot and about 30 minutes to either Grand Case or Phillipsburg.
